I came in yesterday in hopes of seeing CREAM launch. Otherwise, I would have slept most of the day. CREAM flies on a full-sized balloon, like BLAST, and requires full-sized launch operations. Truly exciting when it happens. However, when instead you wait all day, delaying an hour at a time for weather to improve, before giving up after about thirteen hours—that’s less exciting. The BLAST team, next in line, takes CREAM delays hard enough. I have much sympathy for the CREAM team (and CSBF crew), and do not look forward to the same thing happening to us.
Otherwise, I have a bunch of pictures Juan requested that show where on the sun shield structure there is and is not aluminized mylar. They’re not very good, or super interesting, but that’s all I got. Enjoy!
