To get between the station and the telescopes, requires crossing the skiway. A few days ago I got caught at the beacon while an LC-13 taxied, and decided to shoot a panorama of the extreme whiteness of overcast south pole days

- Marker at exact geographic south pole. The USGS repositions this every year, with a new marker
- The ceremonial pole. It look exactly like people expect, and doesn’t move every year
- Pole-eye view of myself, flags (all Antarctic Treaty signatories), and the elevated station
