Due to terrible weather in McMurdo, our flight was delayed 24 hours. To pass the time, we took the bus towards Lyttelton, and walked over the Bridle Path. This is where early settlers crossed from the port towards Christchurch.
Obligatory start of trail photograph
Enthusiasm is high
Partway up
At a viewing area at the crest of the bridle path
Panorama
Looking down into Lyttelton
Lyttelton
A little town, with a port (and confusing spelling)
King of the rock
Or at least of some rock somewhere
Me and some scenery
And ocean way in the background. By Ed.
Upwards
To the large building at the top, where the gondola goes
On the gondola building's deck
With some sun
Anne descends
And wisely looks at her footing, rather than at a silly photographer
