Yesterday Natalie reothogonalized the gyroscopes, complicated by extra tape and paint added since last time. Mark worked on laser-aligning things in the optics box and gave an impromptu Optics 101 lecture. Half of the carbon fiber tubes for the side scoop arrived, but not the half that would allow Juan to start gluing. The other half was in Kentucky. Hooray for shipping!
- Elio and Tristan doing some cryostat things
- Natalie charms the slowly rotating gyro snake
- Laser alignment of the optics box
- “That’s a postdoc!”
- Juan fit checks tubes. That’s all he can do for now
- Tubes only, past this point
- Lorenzo gave Natalie his ID badge retractamajig. Natalie is happy
- Very Happy
- Matt, Mark, Nick, and Greg in exciting computer action
- When not pouring rain, near sunset is a great time to go outside here. Cycling around the launch pad is a popular activity (as is running around, or shooting hoops)
