So I haven’t posted for a couple days because I have been running around doing a bunch of cryostat tests. Well everything checked out and we are getting ready to mount the cryostat on the gondola, so I have a few minutes to post things.
As a polarization experiment we have to do a lot of ground tests with known polarizations to measure the zeros of the system. We also spend a lot of time looking at a known unpolarized source to make sure we aren’t measuring artificially induced polarization. I took a few quick shots while we were setting up, but most of out time was spent staring at the data the way Giles is.
