The remainder of the Spider joints arrived today from the multi-axis (6-axis?) machining place.
A few of the simpler joints have already been made by the Toronto shop. See these two old posts.
- One box per part: nine boxes
- Robot-eyes view of one pair of SIP cage supports. This were made before, but no pictures had been posted.
- SIP mount pair with more informative view
- Natalie searches for the coveted Quickparts T-shirt. It wasn’t located.
- The turtle joint. The only single joint, it lives at the top rear of the gondola.
- The turtle joint is also a suspension cable attachment point.
- The front cable-attachment joints. They have an integrated insert for extra strength.
- The Front Cable mounts again. They’re upside-down in these images.
- I think these are the bottom rear joints
- The underside of the bottom rear joints has a spot for the SIP cage to attach
- These are the other pair of SIP cage joints. It looks like they mate with the bottom rear joints.
- The spreader bar joints/inserts. They will be joined with a tube.
- I believe these are the bottom front joints.
- The bottom front joints again.
- The bottom front joints also mount to a pair of SIP joints.
- All the joints that arrived today.
